What is MAPT ?

The Missouri Association for Pupil Transportation
is a state-wide organization which recognizes that
Pupil Transportation is a basic contributor to an effective
educational program. We are committed to the continued
improvement of all aspects of the specialized educational service.

MAPT's objectives are:

* To continually strive to improve the safety, efficency, and economy of Pupil Transportation
* To promote and provide leadership for the improvement and advancement of Pupil Transportation
* To serve as spokesperson for all who engage in Pupil Transportation
* To serve as an agency for the collection and dissemination of information and provide newsletters,
_-conferences, research, and other services that are a direct benefit to its members
* To support uniform school bus operators, procedures, and minimum standards
* To support and promote National School Bus Safety Week

An Organization for Transportation Professionals

Brief History:
MAPT was organized in 1965 as an independent association for transportation professionals
and has enjoyed a steady growth in membership. The Association strives to provide its members
with the tools to become better managers and improve transportation safety for pupils in Missouri.
