What is M.A.P.T. ?
The Missouri Association for Pupil Transportation
is a state-wide organization which recognizes that
Pupil Transportation is a basic contributor to an effective
educational program. We are committed to the continued
improvement of all aspects of this specialized educational service.
M.A.P.T.'s objectives are:
* To continually strive to improve the safety, efficiency, and economy of Pupil Transportation
* To promote and provide leadership for the improvement and advancement of Pupil Transportation
* To serve as spokesperson for all who engage in Pupil Transportation
* To serve as an agency for the collection and dissemination of information and provide newsletters,
_-conferences, research, and other services that are a direct benefit to its members
* To support uniform school bus operators, procedures, and minimum standards
* To support and promote National School Bus Safety Week

Brief History:
M.A.P.T. was organized in 1965 as an independent association for transportation professionals
and has enjoyed a steady growth in membership. The Association strives to provide its members
with the tools to become better managers and improve transportation safety for pupils in Missouri.

The School Bus Safety Poster Contest is open to any student enrolled in a public, parochial, or private elementary school. One winning poster will be chosen in each of the following categories:
The winning poster in each division (#1 through #4; NAPT does not have a CAD division) will be forwarded to the National Association for Pupil Transportation where it will compete with posters from across the country. N.A.P.T. will select the national winning poster to be used during National School bus Safety Week.
Posters must illustrate the theme “Stand Back From the Yellow and Black" and the phrase STAND BACK FROM THE YELLOW AND BLACK must appear on the poster.
