CONFERENCE and TRADE
SHOW NEWS
The 45th Annual MAPT Conference and Trade Show
takes place July 6 through 9, 2010, at the University
Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Springfield,
MO. The trade show, one of the largest single-state
shows in the nation, is held on two days, July 7 & 8.
Vendor registration is underway for this prestigious
show, and spaces are limited. Early registration is

People in the News
The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced
that Captain David P. Perkins has transferred
from the Motor Vehicle Inspection Division to
the Training Division and will serve as director.
Captain Perkins joined the Patrol in 1986 as
a motor vehicle inspector and held that position
until entering the Law Enforcement Academy in
1989. In 1997, he transferred to the Motor Vehicle
Inspection Division, General Headquarters.
Perkins w as promoted to lieutenant in 2003,
and designated director of the Motor Vehicle
Inspection Division. In 2007, he was promoted
to the rank of captain.
Captain Perkins has worked closely with M.A.P.T.
and for more than 10 years attended our annual
conference to assist with handing out the
Excellent Fleet Awards.
Captain Malik A. Henderson, a 21-year
veteran with the Missouri State Highway Patrol,
was recently promoted to the rank of captain
and designated director of the Motor Vehicle
Inspection Division at General Headquarters
